Pastor Gregory Stevens Biography

Pastor Gregory Stevens represents an illuminating voice for the Lord Jesus Christ.  His insightful, spiritual, and practical approach reaches the lost and un-churched, while providing principles for Christian discipleship.  He glorifies God and serves the saints as the Senior Pastor of the Park Avenue Missionary Baptist Church, Kansas City, Missouri.  There, he leads multi-faceted ministries in evangelism, discipleship, prayer, youth, and music.

The Kansas City native is spiritually mentored by two faithful Christian leaders, Dr. George W. Pryor and Dr. Wallace S. Hartsfield.  Stevens made the Christian profession in 1962 and has been in Christian ministry for over 11 years.

Possessing a heart for knowledge and theological training, Stevens received a Bachelor of Science from Central State University, Wilberforce, Ohio; Bachelor of Arts from Southern Bible Institute, Dallas, Texas.

Stevens is active in the Christian circle; Vice Moderator-Union District Association, Treasurer-General Baptist State Convention/ KS. MO. Neb.

In all his endeavors, he is strengthened by the love of his family: wife, Carmelita; two sons, Mark and Kevin; two daughters, Monica and Danika; five grandchildren, Tiara, Destiny, Lynda, Dyshon, Brooklyn and Kyree.

His life ambition is to glorify God as an instrument for preaching/teaching/modeling the redemptive love of God in Jesus Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit.  Fully engaged, he seeks to reach all humanity with truth centered in forgiveness, salvation, hope, discipleship, deliverance and empowerment.
